smartie of the month award
The “Smartie of the Month” Award recognises outstanding teachers and support staff for their dedication, professionalism, and work on behalf of the Smart Teachers. Each month, we recognise a different “Smartie” based on contributions to their school, excellence in the classroom, leadership abilities, community involvement and a variety of other criteria. Each month of the school year one Teacher or Teaching Assistant will be chosen to receive this award in excellence. The “Smartie of the Month” will receive a certificate of recognition and a £50 cash prize from Smart Teachers. Congratulations to this months winner – Briony Fitzgerald
Briony Fitzgerald was awarded with the ‘Smartie of the Month’ certificate and prize for January 2012.
Briony has been teaching the reception class at Lyon Park Infant School and has fitted in extremely well from the start. The Head Teacher comments: “Briony has done an excellent job. She started her placement at the school during a busy time of inspections and coped remarkably well for a new member of staff. She fits in very well with all members of the school and is a very happy and committed teacher”.
Briony has consistently impressed her colleagues with her professional and hardworking manner. Her pupils love her and she puts in extra hours by taking on extra responsibility. Her enthusiasm is a credit to the school and her attendance record is at 100 per cent.
Smart Teachers are thankful for her pure hard work and incredible teaching skills – a true worthy winner for ‘Smartie of the Month.’
