As of September 1, 2009 all Overseas Trained Teachers (OTT’s) must be registered with the General Teaching Council for England (GTCE). It is a requirement of working in schools in the UK that teachers register within 28 days of arriving in the country. There is no cost to complete registration.

If you are already registered with the GTC or have completed an application form – please email me the GTC registration number or let Smart Teachers know when you sent off the form so we can make a note of this. You will need this registration to work in the UK, so please make this an urgent priority.
