A big congratulations to Sabiha Hussain for successfully attaining the Golden Smartie Award!
Sabiha started her long term supply role as Year 5 class teacher at Foresters Primary School in September 2015, and since then has fully immersed herself into the life of the school.
She is cheerful, hard working, and tirelessly committed to ensuring all the children in her class do the very best they can.
We have received consistently fantastic feedback about Sabiha and are so proud to have her representing Smart Teachers.
Consultant Gabby Hobbs surprised Sabiha at Foresters yesterday, where we presented her with a paper certificate and also some paper money (£50 all up… or maybe £51 when you include the certificate, which we printed on the fancy printer).
Gabby presented the award in front of Sabiha’s Year 5 class who gave her three cheers and huge round of applause. Basking in the afterglow, Sabiha explained that she often awards students with certificates when they have done great work, so it was lovely for them to see their teacher receiving a certificate too, showing that hard work really does pay off!
The Golden Smartie award recognises outstanding teachers and support staff for their dedication, professionalism and work on behalf of Smart Teachers. We recognise our outstanding ‘Smarties’ based on contributions to their school, excellence in the classroom, leadership abilities, community involvement and a variety of other criteria. The winning candidate will receive a certificate of recognition and a cash prize from Smart Teachers.
If you would like to nominate one of our outstanding teachers or TAs, please tell us why you think they deserve the Golden Smartie title.
