Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them develop positive behaviours? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join our primary school team in Barking, working with Key Stage 2 students.
About the role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and Guidance: Provide one-on-one and group support to students, helping them develop positive behaviour and social skills.
- Individualized Plans: Develop and implement behaviour intervention plans tailored to the needs of individual students.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Track students' progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting regularly to teachers and senior staff.
- Parental Engagement: Work with parents and guardians to provide support and guidance, ensuring a consistent approach to behaviour management.
- Collaborative Working: Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Behaviour Mentor you will:
- Have experience working with children, particularly in a behavioral or mentoring role
- Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Have patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Experience Working with Children: Typically, at least 1-2 years of experience working with children is expected. This can include roles such as teaching assistant, youth worker, or any position involving direct support and interaction with young people
