Smart Teachers is recruiting for an experienced Art Technician to join an independent school for girls aged 4 – 18 in Ealing, London. The school is a mixed 11–18 academy, which is truly comprehensive in its nature. The school is one of the 26 schools that make up the London Girls' Day School Trust. Across both campuses (Junior and Senior Departments) there are 880 girls on the roll. The school has strong traditions and is a leader in education for girls, enjoying a reputation for academic excellence at both the Junior and Senior levels. The school is looking for a well-qualified, inspirational Technician to support a busy and vibrant Art Department.

About the Role

  • Art Technician 
  • To support the delivery of equipment and practical activities within Art lessons in order to optimise teaching and learning
  • General duties in support of the teachers in the Art Department 
  • Full time, 5 days a week 
  • Up to £28,000 depending on experience

In order to be considered for this role, the successful Art Technician will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Experience working within an Art studio environment
  • Have around 2 years' recent relevant professional experience 
  • Have studied Art to a high level 
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) on the Update Service
