Primary ASD Teaching Assistant 

London Borough of Barking and Dagenham 

£70 - £80 per day (PAYE)

Smart Teachers is recruiting for a Primary ASD Teaching Assistant to work within an Alternative Provision in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham. The successful ASD Teaching Assistant will need to be comfortable and confident with working with children with additional needs. 

The role 

• Primary ASD Teaching Assistant 

• Work with Primary aged children 

The school 

• Set in an area that is easily accessible via public transport 

• Alternative Provision for children with additional needs 

• Well-structured days with small group work 

• Located in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham 


To be considered for the ASD Teaching Assistant role, you will: 

• Have experience working with children or adults with ASD 

• Have strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills

• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
