Our registration process

Our friendly consultants will help you every step of the way and get you out to work as soon as we can once all our vetting and clearance checks have been completed.

Getting to know you

Once you’ve submitted your information, one of our friendly consultants from your local branch will give you a call to discuss your experience, run through your CV and find out more about you.

Before your interview

Once we have your reference details and permission to send them, we’ll start requesting and chasing them.
In the meantime, we’ll send you an online application form to complete ahead of your interview.
Basic details
We’ll get some key information from you, including your full name, address and date of birth
Policies
You’ll need to sign to say you’ve read and understood our key policies and agree to us storing and handling your information
Right to work information
You'll be required to provide information about your right to work documents - we'll also need to see these at your interview
Qualifications & certificates
So we can offer you the right roles, you’ll need to provide evidence of your qualifications (and Teacher Reference Number if applicable)
Reference details
So we can clear you for work efficiently, we ask that you provide reference details ahead of your interview - we'll need a minimum of 2 professional references from the last 2 years and one of these must be from your last role working with children or vulnerable adults
Safeguarding pupils
Protecting children & young people is our main priority. You can be fully confident that all safeguarding requirements have been taken care of

Whether online or in-person, we’ll have a chat with you about your experiences in education, skills & strengths & run through any key information you need to know

Getting you ready for work

After your interview, our team will work hard to get you cleared for work. Our clearance process is in line with DfE (Department for Education) and REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) guidelines and includes a number of checks:

  • Right to work, photo ID and address
  • A current enhanced DBS certificate including Children's Barred List, registered on the Update Service
  • References & work history
  • Overseas police check / certificate of good conduct confirmed (where applicable)
  • Childcare Disqualification Questionnaire (primary candidates only)
  • Medical

Additional checks for teaching staff:

  • Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) list checked for prohibitions
  • Qualified Teacher Status checks
  • Letter of professional standing (where applicable)

Keeping you up-to-date

We ask all our candidates to provide proof that they have completed child protection and safeguarding training within the last 12 months. If you aren’t able to provide proof, you can complete the courses for free via our training provider.

We’re proud to offer additional training and support to all our supply staff. You can search and book your free place on our training courses, events, webinars and exhibitions.
