Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have a background in sports, youth work, or mentoring? We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our supportive team at a thriving primary school in Newham.
About the role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who require additional help in managing their behaviour. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with these students, helping them to develop positive attitudes towards learning and school life. Through 1:1 sessions, small group work, and classroom support, you will empower students to overcome barriers to their education, build self-esteem, and improve their social skills.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Behavior Mentor you will:
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people
- Understand the challenges faced by students with behavioural needs and strategies to support them
- Have a genuine passion for helping children succeed and the ability to inspire and motivate
- Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a flexible and proactive approach
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Previous experience in a behaviour mentor role, or a background in sports coaching, youth work, or a related field
