I'm recruiting on behalf of an excellent Special Education Needs school in the London Borough of Wandsworth, short walk from Wandsworth Common and Balham Station.
About the role
We’re looking for a British Sign Language TA qualified in British Sign Language Level 3 to support pupils who are D/deaf and/or who have speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
About the school
The school ensures the development of each student’s full language and communication potential, using a student-centred Total Communication approach to language development which includes BSL, Sign Supported English (SSE), spoken English, written English and the use of visual and kinaesthetic learning strategies.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of British Sign Language TA you will:
- • Have a passion to teach outside of a mainstream environment, and a commitment to experience the unique opportunities of a special school
- • Have a kind, caring, and compassionate nature which is used to plan and deliver inclusive, fun, and inspiring lessons
- • Have British Sign Language Level 3 qualification
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- British Sign Language Level 3 qualification
