About the role
The desired SEN Teacher will have:
- Have QTS
- Have experience of working with children and young people with SLD/PMLD/ASD
- Have good communication skills, be a team player and an innate drive to make a difference
- Be creative and have an enthusiastic, imaginative and caring approach to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- Have high expectations of learners’ achievements relating to communication, independence, inclusion in the community and behaviour.
- Have the ability to lead a team of support staff, who are there to help plan, assess and assist
- Be willing to learn how to use our developmental skills framework and 4 year Curriculum Coverage which supports consistency and reduces workload

A happy, thriving, oversubscribed and growing special school for children and young people aged 4 -19 with severe and complex learning difficulties including those with an additional diagnosis of autism and/or physical/sensory disabilities.
