About the role

The desired SEN Teacher will have:

• Have QTS
• Have experience of working with children and young people with SLD/PMLD/ASD
• Have good communication skills, be a team player and an innate drive to make a difference
• Be creative and have an enthusiastic, imaginative and caring approach to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
• Have high expectations of learners’ achievements relating to communication, independence, inclusion in the community and behaviour.
• Have the ability to lead a team of support staff, who are there to help plan, assess and assist
• Be willing to learn how to use our developmental skills framework and 4 year Curriculum Coverage which supports consistency and reduces workload

A happy, thriving, oversubscribed and growing special school for children and young people aged 4 -19 with severe and complex learning difficulties including those with an additional diagnosis of autism and/or physical/sensory disabilities. To be considered for the role of KS1 Teacher you will:

• Qualified Teacher Status

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Experience working with SEN Teachers

• Delivering high quality lessons to children with SEN needs
