About the role

This is a small SEN school in Harrow, North West London who have recently moved into a purpose build space. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is looking to work in a rewarding environment as this school expands naturally with a view to open another school in the near future, meaning natural progression available for its staff. This school do not tolerate challenging behaviour and the students are here to receive the support they require. Staff here are not expected to manage behaviour more than they support the learning for pupils.

About the school

This school caters for students with a range of special educational needs such as Autism (ASC) and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH). The school is welcoming, friendly, and supportive. The new Headteacher makes his way around the school each morning to welcome their students and staff, they hold a morning de-brief to ensure staff are supported and any concerns are raised and dealt with accordingly.

Dress code here is relaxed, small class sizes of up to 4/6 students could be expected, some times smaller, with each pupil having their own 1:1 teaching assistant via their educational health care plan. The school are accepting referrals from local mainstream schools to ensure support is available to those students.
