About the role
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our exceptional students. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who possesses a genuine passion for working with young people with diverse needs. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of inclusive teaching practices and be skilled in tailoring instructional strategies to suit individual learning styles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the wider school community, including parents, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Adapt curriculum materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning abilities and styles.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social and emotional well-being of all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and implementing individualized interventions where necessary.
- Work closely with external professionals to access additional support and resources for students with special needs.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants in your class and the wider group.

A Pupil Referral Unit are looking to appoint a Science Teacher. The School provides a fresh start for young people who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. The aim is to prepare them for progression to their next stage. The School provide our students with a small, nurturing and academically rigorous environment. They seek to re-engage them through high expectations, a supportive environment and an expectation that they will follow a largely mainstream curriculum and achieve their qualifications.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Science Teacher you will:
- QTS- Qualified Teacher Status
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- DBS on the Update Service
Key responsibilities
As Science Teacher you will be responsible for:
- Preparing pupils for their Science exams
