Smart Teachers are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a 2 form entry school in the Hammersmith area.
About the role
- Role starts in January 2025 and will be until the end of the academic year
- Required to work 1:1 with a KS1 pupil who has Autism
- Pupil can struggle to focus in class and will need to be supported with play based activities in the sensory room
- Pupil does display challenging behaviour, needs someone who can be patient and set clear boundaries

- Supportive SLT and Teachers who will also provide support and additional training for staff
- School has a sensory room and quiet room set up for students with SEN
- School offers onsite parking for staff
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:
- Have an enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Have experience supporting children with Autism
