Smart Teachers are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in East London to recruit a committed and highly capable 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 8 pupil.
About the role

Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 8 pupil with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)

Support the pupil’s engagement, emotional regulation, and access to learning

Implement effective behaviour strategies in line with school policies

Work closely with teaching staff and the SEN team

Promote positive interactions and ensure a safe learning environment

Requirements
To be considered for the role of 1:1 TA - ASC Focus you will:
- Team Teach trained (essential or highly desirable)
- Experienced in supporting students with ASC
- Strong understanding of how a mainstream secondary school operates
- Calm, confident, and able to build positive, professional relationships
- Committed, reliable, and able to hit the ground running
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Suitable ASC experience
