Smart Teachers are working with a thriving and ambitious secondary school seeking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their committed support team

About the role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with the work that has been set. You will promote positive behaviour, maintain a productive learning environment and provide feedback to teaching staff on students' progress and conduct.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:

  • Have experience working with young people, ideally within a school or educational setting
  • Be confident managing groups of students and maintaining high standards of behaviour
  • Possess excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
  • Be proactive, adaptable and able to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Suitable school based experience
