Smart Teachers are seeking to appoint a reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work in a high-achieving, oversubscribed secondary school in North London. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring teacher or experienced classroom practitioner to support the delivery of quality learning across the curriculum
About the role

Supervise classes in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged

Deliver pre-prepared lesson content and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Support students in completing set work and provide constructive feedback where appropriate

Contribute to the smooth running of the school day by covering a range of subjects and year groups as needed

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:
- Confident classroom presence and excellent communication skills
- Experience working with young people in an educational or youth work setting is desirable
- Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to a variety of subjects and learning environments
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning atmosphere
- Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) – A Levels or degree desirable
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
