Cover Supervisor (Croydon)

About the role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising whole classes across KS3–KS4 using pre-prepared lesson materials

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies

• Ensuring a calm, safe, and productive learning environment

• Taking attendance and reporting any issues to relevant staff

• Supporting students with their work where appropriate (no planning or marking required)

This role requires:

• Confidence managing a classroom independently

• Strong communication and behaviour management skills

• Reliability and punctuality, with availability to start just after 8:00am

• A proactive and professional approach to school life
