Smart Teachers is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic English Academic Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in East London.

This full-time, term-time only position is ideal for a graduate with a strong academic background in English or Humanities, looking to gain school-based experience ahead of a future teaching career or PGCE application.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of English Academic Mentor you will:
- Degree in English, Humanities or a related subject
- A passion for education and language/literacy development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential)
- A DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
