Smart Teachers are currently working with a large, well-established secondary school in East London that is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Leader to join their leadership team on a supply basis with an immediate start

About the role

The successful candidate will join the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and will be expected to support the day-to-day running of the school while maintaining high standards across teaching, learning, and behaviour. Responsibilities will include fulfilling typical SLT duties, supporting staff, and working closely with the Headteacher and wider leadership team.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Interim Senior Leader you will:

  • Previous Senior Leadership experience (Assistant Head, Deputy Head or equivalent
  • Strong experience within a secondary school setting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • The ability to support whole-school priorities and maintain high standards
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Suitable SLT experience
