A thriving and highly regarded secondary school in South East London is seeking an organised and professional Lead Receptionist to oversee front-of-house operations and provide exceptional administrative support within a busy school environment.
About the role
The successful candidate will lead the reception function, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils, and staff. You will manage day-to-day reception duties, support administrative processes, and help ensure the smooth running of the school office.
Duties may include:
- Managing the main reception area and visitor processes
- Supervising front-of-house administration
- Handling calls, emails, and parent enquiries professionally
- Supporting attendance and general school administration
- Maintaining accurate records and systems
- Providing a welcoming and efficient service at all times

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Lead Receptionist – Secondary School you will:
- Previous receptionist or administrative experience
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional and welcoming manner
- Good IT and administrative skills
- School-based experience desirable but not essential
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
