Smart Teachers are recruiting for a PMLD Teaching Assistant at an inclusive SEN school in Redbridge. This role is a perfect opportunity for anyone seeking to get some valuable experience of working with pupils of all ages and a range of special educational needs and difficulties, including emotional and behavioural needs. Main roles and responsibilities:
• To support pupils during lunchtime by preparing and clearing dining areas.
• Ensure that each pupil has their designated meal and helping them with any equipment/utensils, etc.
• Assist pupils with eating under the direction of teachers or other specialised staff.
• To assist in ensuring the personal safety and hygiene standards of each pupil are met.
• Ensure that each pupil’s medical conditions are taken into consideration.
• To assist in supervising pupils during leisure time and outdoor time.
