Smart Teachers is recruiting for a reliable and creative Art Technician to join a successful and well-resourced secondary school in Tower Hamlets
About the role
This full-time position is to start in September 2025, supporting the Art department in maintaining resources and enabling students to work in a vibrant, organised environment

Supporting the Art department with the preparation of materials for lessons (e.g. paints, clay, printmaking equipment)

Maintaining and organising art equipment and storage areas

Assisting in the mounting and displaying of student artwork

Supporting pupils and teachers in practical sessions, including use of specialist tools or materials
-
Ordering and monitoring stock, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed

Occasionally supporting with GCSE or A-Level coursework prep and exhibition set-ups

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Art Technician you will:
- A relevant background in Art, Design, or a similar field (degree or equivalent experience preferred)
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- An understanding of H&S in a creative environment
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Suitable Technician Experience
