Smart Teachers is working in partnership with a high-performing secondary school to recruit a Data Officer (Performance & Admissions) on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school data professional with strong SIMS knowledge to join a busy and supportive administrative team.

About the role

As the Data Officer, you will:

  • Manage and maintain the school's performance, assessment and admissions data.
  • Produce accurate attainment, progress and assessment reports for senior leaders and teaching staff.
  • Create and maintain mark sheets within SIMS and prepare systems for data collection points.
  • Support the analysis of internal and external examination data.
  • Assist with pupil admissions, data transfers and maintaining accurate student records.
  • Provide support with school communication systems and other associated administrative functions.
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and within strict deadlines.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Data Officer you will:

  • Significant experience working in a similar school data or administration role
  • Essential experience using SIMS, particularly Assessment Manager
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyse data accurately

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Suitable data officer experience
