Smart Teachers is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Deputy SENDCO to join a forward-thinking, inclusive secondary school in South East London from September 2025.
About the role
The Role:

Lead on the annual EHCP review process for a cohort of students
-
Support the analysis of SEND data, specialist assessments, and target setting
-
Collaborate with curriculum leaders to maintain a high-quality inclusive offer at KS3 and KS4
-
Deliver targeted interventions and model high-quality SEND teaching
-
Support the professional development of staff working with SEND students
-
Play an integral role in transition planning across key stages

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Deputy SENCO you will:
- Hold QTS and a relevant degree
- Have a SEND qualification or willingness to undertake one
- Demonstrate successful teaching experience across KS3/KS4 (KS2 experience also welcome)
- Show knowledge of best practice in SEND provision, differentiation, and curriculum design
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
- Have a strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Suitable teaching experience
