About the role
Key Responsibilities
Executive & Administrative Support
-
Provide confidential secretarial and administrative assistance to the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.

Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders.

Organise meetings, manage communications, and ensure accurate record-keeping and follow-up.

Support the administrative functions of the school and the Governing Body.
Human Resources
-
First point of contact for HR matters, advising on employment policies and procedures.

Oversee recruitment, onboarding, induction, and performance management cycles.

Maintain HR systems, records, and compliance, including the Single Central Record (SCR).

Monitor staff attendance, support absence management and formal HR processes.
Data & Compliance

Manage statutory data returns and ensure accurate use of the MIS (e.g., SIMS, Arbor).

Maintain student and staff records, handle CTF transfers, and oversee GDPR compliance.

Act as the Data Processing Officer.
Governance Support
-
Provide full clerking services to the Governing Body including scheduling, agendas, minutes, and compliance.

Coordinate Governor training and ensure all governance-related documentation is complete and current.
General Administration

Maintain and update school documentation such as handbooks and policies.

Support admissions, liaise with parents/carers, and oversee the school's communication channels.

Contribute to strategic planning and the effective daily functioning of administration services.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Training

A-Levels or equivalent

GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above)

School administration qualification or equivalent

Foundation Level 3 Certificate in People Management Practice (or equivalent HR qualification)

Knowledge & Experience

Experience working in education and HR

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
