About the role
A well-regarded two-form entry primary school in West Drayton is seeking an experienced and motivated KS2 Phase Leader to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong classroom practitioner looking to take the next step into leadership or for an existing middle leader seeking a new challenge.
You will be responsible for leading Key Stage 2, driving standards of teaching and learning, and supporting staff development across the phase. The role includes a class teaching commitment alongside leadership responsibilities.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of KS2 Phase Leader you will:
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with experience in Key Stage 2
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience in a leadership role, or be ready to take the next step into middle leadership
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Be able to inspire, support and develop colleagues effectively
- Have a proven track record of raising pupil attainment and progress
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Previous school-based experience
- Relevant qualifications
Key responsibilities
As KS2 Phase Leader you will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage the KS2 phase, ensuring consistently high standards of teaching and learning
- Support, coach and develop teachers within the phase
- Monitor pupil progress and attainment, implementing effective strategies to raise outcomes
- Work closely with senior leaders to contribute to whole-school improvement priorities
- Lead curriculum development and ensure high-quality delivery across KS2
