Smart Teachers is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated School Liaison Officers to deliver a high-profile safety and awareness programme in secondary schools across London.

This role involves visiting schools to run engaging workshops and presentations, promoting key safeguarding and personal safety messages to young people.

About the school

Smart Teachers is working in partnership with a high-profile safety and awareness initiative delivered in schools across London. Its aim is to increase young people’s confidence and safety when travelling, raise awareness about unacceptable behaviour, and encourage positive bystander action.

Through interactive workshops and presentations, the programme educates secondary school pupils about personal safety, respectful behaviour and how to access support if they experience or witness incidents. By working in partnership with schools, safeguarding teams and community organisations, Project Guardian promotes a safer, more inclusive environment for young people.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of School Liaison Officer you will:

  • Previous experience working with young people in schools, youth services, or community outreach
  • Confident presenter with excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to travel independently across multiple school sites

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Suitable experience working with young people
