A successful secondary school in East London is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Maths Learning Mentor to join its dedicated team.

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Maths graduate who is considering a future career in teaching or looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

Working closely with the Maths department, you will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to improve confidence, develop understanding and raise attainment in Mathematics. You will provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions and work with individuals and small groups of students to help them overcome barriers to learning.

This role would suit a Maths graduate who is passionate about supporting young people and would like to develop their skills within a secondary school environment.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Graduate Maths Learning Mentor you will:

  • A degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a related subject
  • A strong academic background and a passion for Mathematics
  • A genuine interest in supporting students and improving outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with young people.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Suitable teaching experience
