I'm recruiting on behalf of an excellent Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) School based in Croydon.
About the role
They are looking for a Key Stage 3 & 4 Teacher, to support pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties, ADHD and Severe Social Anxieties.
About the school
They offer a nurturing approach to education and social development and employ a therapy team, working in a range of different disciplines such as play, music, drama, art and family and Lego therapy. They also have strong working relationships with CAMHS, the School Nursing Service and with the Early Help & social care teams.
They deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that can be tailored to meet the individual needs of our pupils. They try to take into account their interests and aptitudes, whilst building core skills and supporting a strong knowledge base. The pupils are taught within the nurture model with high staff pupil ratios that enable them to provide an individualised approach to learning.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Key Stage 3 & 4 Teacher you will:
- • Have a passion to teach outside of a mainstream environment, and a commitment to experience the unique opportunities of a special school
- • Have a kind, caring, and compassionate nature which is used to plan and deliver inclusive, fun, and inspiring lessons
- • Have a recognised UK teaching qualification
- • Have previously taken opportunities during ITT or otherwise to enhance your knowledge and understanding of children with SEND or SEMH
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- QTS is not essential
