A well-established independent school is seeking an experienced and highly organised SENCO to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting after May half-term.

The successful candidate will lead and manage the school’s SEND provision, ensuring students receive the appropriate support and guidance to thrive academically and personally. The role would suit a highly organised and proactive SENCO who is comfortable working independently and managing all associated paperwork, documentation, and access arrangements.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SENDCo you will:

• Previous experience working as a SENCO
• NASENCO qualification desirable but not essential
• Independent school experience preferred
• Experience supporting students with ASD and ADHD
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

Key responsibilities

As SENDCo you will be responsible for:

• Lead SEND provision across the school
• Manage and review EHCPs
• Support students with ASD and ADHD
• Coordinate and oversee access arrangements
• Complete all SEND documentation and paperwork independently
• Ensure compliance with SEND policies and procedures
