About the role
This Ofsted rated ‘Good’ SEN Secondary School, based in Harrow are looking to appoint a passionate Performing Arts Teacher to teach across the year groups in the schooll. You will be working with children with ASD so some Makaton/PECs knowledge is desired, but not essential.
About the school
This Performing Arts Teacher vacancy is full-time and long term, with the potential to go full time in the future. Working hours are from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. There are small class sizes of 6 to 8 students per class with additional support staff in each class. There is a strong emphasis on support within the school.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Performing Arts Teacher (SEN Secondary) you will:
- Experience of working with SEND pupils
- A passion for the progress of Secondary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
- Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
- Passionate, engaging, proactive approach to working in schools – we’re really looking for people who are keen to make a difference to the lives of SEND pupils.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- QTS, or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with SEN
