We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Catholic primary school in Ealing on a long-term supply basis until July 2026.
About the role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to provide targeted support to pupils with special educational needs. This may include one-to-one support or working with small groups, helping pupils access the curriculum and supporting their social, emotional, and academic development. A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities

Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN

Supporting the implementation of individual education plans and EHCPs

Assisting with differentiated learning activities

Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development

Working closely with teachers, SENCo, and support staff

Adhering to safeguarding policies and the values of the school

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN is highly desirable
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Previous teaching or classroom-based experience (required)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Right to work in the UK
- DBS on the update service
- Previous teaching experience
