Smart Teachers are delighted to be recruiting for a STEM Lab Technician to join a forward-thinking secondary STEM environment in East London
About the role
Working 2–3 days per week (14–21 hours), term time only, you will play a key role in supporting the development of an exciting student engineering project, including the construction of Greenpower racing cars. You will be responsible for maintaining specialist equipment, supporting practical activities and ensuring a safe, well-organised STEM workshop environment.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of STEM Lab Technician you will:
- A relevant Level 2 technical qualification or equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing or a related STEM field
- Experience working within a technical, engineering or workshop environment
- Practical knowledge of machinery such as CNC equipment, welding equipment and power tools
- A strong understanding of health and safety procedures and risk assessments
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A genuine enthusiasm for supporting young people in STEM education
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
