Supply Teacher

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brent is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Primary Teachers to join their team from ASAP.

About the role

Teachers joining the school on a supply basis may be asked to cover different classes across KS1 and KS2, depending on the school's daily requirements. You will need to be adaptable and confident following existing planning while maintaining continuity for pupils.

For those interested in longer-term work, there may be opportunities to take responsibility for a particular class or year group and become a consistent member of the teaching team.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS1 or KS2.
• Follow existing planning effectively when working on supply.
• Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful classroom environment.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
• Differentiate activities to support pupils with a range of abilities.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress where appropriate.
• Encourage pupils to become confident and independent learners.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
• Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and expectations.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Supply Teacher you will:

• QTS.
• Experience within KS1 and/or KS2.
• DBS on the update service
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
