Smart Teachers are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant who is able to support pupils with autism.
About the role
The Special Needs Teaching assistant will be asked to support pupils with autism across KS1 & KS2. If you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant or are passionate about supporting children with SEN, this may be the perfect role for you!
The ideal candidate will have:
• SEN or Early Years teaching experience whether through placement, in mainstream or special need school settings
• Availability for immediate daily cover/full time work 8:30am-3:45pm Monday to Friday, with a 15-minute morning break and 30 minute lunch break for support staff.
• A positive and nurturing approach to education support
• PECS and Makaton (Desirable but not essential)
• Local to Newham
