A mainstream primary school are looking to appoint a Teaching assistant to work with a pupil in Year 5 on a 1-2-1 basis aswell as supporting the class where needed as a general TA.
About the role
Supporting a pupil in Year 5 on a 1-2-1 basis throughout the day. This role will involve working with challenging behaviour with the pupil at times, and therefore you should have experience and knowledge on working with children with challenging behaviour and be able to understand the child and how to support them with their learning.
You will have support from the class teacher and SLT throughout the day where needed. The school are looking for a strong TA who is comfortable working with challenging behaviour and confident in their ability to work with children and adapt to different behaviours in children.

The school is a mainstream primary school based in Tower Hamlets. The classroom is settled, and the class teacher is highly experienced and will be able to support where needed.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Challenging Behaviour TA you will:
- Have a DBS on the updated service
- Be comfortable working with children with challenging behaviour
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Prior experience working with children with challenging behaviour in a school
Key responsibilities
As Challenging Behaviour TA you will be responsible for:
- Provide support to the pupil throughout the day
- Assisting the teacher in the classroom where needed
