Smart Teachers is seeking an organised and proactive HR Administrator to join a large, well-established education setting in East London. This is an excellent opportunity for an efficient, detail-driven administrator who is committed to delivering high-quality HR support within a busy and professional environment
About the role
The successful candidate will support the HR function across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring that processes run smoothly and in line with safer recruitment and safeguarding standards. Responsibilities include:

Providing comprehensive administrative support to the HR team

Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes

Assisting with recruitment administration and compliance checks

Maintaining accurate personnel records and supporting payroll data preparation

Ensuring safeguarding checks are completed, including DBS, references and right-to-work documentation

Supporting the management of absence, probation documentation and workforce data
-
Maintaining the Single Central Register and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements

Contributing to ongoing development of HR systems, tracking processes, and data reporting
This is a varied position requiring excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively

Requirements
To be considered for the role of HR Administrator you will:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Good working knowledge of standard IT packages (Word, Excel, email systems)
- Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Suitable HR Admin experience
