Smart Teachers are pleased to be working with this Independent school Located in the borough of Brent. The school are looking to appoint a Teacher of IB Maths to start in Jan 26 on a permanent basis.
About the role
The role is a full time Maths teaching role with around 20 hours of teaching and 3 hours support in general cover. The role is a permanent role to start in January and will include time PPA and meetings. The candidate will need to be able to teach Maths to KS5 and IB Mathematics.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of IB Maths Teacher - Popular Independent school - Jan 26 you will:
- QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
- At least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role (IB and/or A-level)
- Experience in the IB highly desirable
- Interest in curriculum development
- Experience with inquiry and concept-based teaching and learning
- Ability to create and deliver engaging, challenging and fun learning experiences for students with a provision for differentiation
- Ability to manage the classroom through positive discipline
- Strong ability to work as a team
- A passion for education and making a difference

Key responsibilities
As IB Maths Teacher - Popular Independent school - Jan 26 you will be responsible for:
- Organise and collaborate on departmental events, e.g. maths competitions
- Assess students formatively and summatively
- Prepare, coordinate and plan the curriculum with the team
- Maintain up-to-date records of assessment, attendance, planning, reports, and communication with families
