Smart Teachers is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maths Tutor to deliver high-quality on-site tuition at a large, high-performing secondary academy in East London
About the role

Delivering small-group and 1:1 Maths tuition sessions across KS3–KS4

Focusing on GCSE preparation, and curriculum reinforcement

Working on school premises during the school day (no remote tutoring)

Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive sessions to boost pupil progress

Liaising with teaching staff and support teams to ensure continuity and consistency

This academy is a well-resourced East London secondary known for its strong behaviour culture and supportive leadership team. Tuition takes place in dedicated intervention spaces, with excellent support from the Maths department.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Maths Tutor you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – applications from non-qualified tutors cannot be considered
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Experience delivering targeted intervention or small-group teaching
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- A professional, proactive approach to supporting pupil achievement
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Suitable teaching experience
