Mechanical Workshop Technician

Smart Teachers are working with a forward-thinking secondary STEM specialist setting seeking a practical and enthusiastic Mechanical Workshop Technician to join their team as soon as possible.

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical engineering, automotive mechanics, manufacturing, fabrication, workshop technology or a similar technical trade who is looking to use their industry experience in an educational environment.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Mechanical Workshop Technician you will:

• Experience in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, manufacturing, fabrication or a similar technical field.
• Confidence using workshop machinery, power tools and technical equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety within a workshop or engineering environment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A passion for supporting young people and developing the next generation of engineers.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Suitable Technician experience
