We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Havering.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual who is passionate about working with children and supporting their educational development in a nurturing and engaging environment.
As a Part-Time Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering effective and engaging lessons.
- Assisting with the learning and development of individual children and small groups, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Monitoring and tracking student progress, providing feedback to the teacher on learning outcomes.
- Providing support for children with additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), under the guidance of the teacher and SENCO.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Part Time Teaching Assistant you will:
- Have a caring and patient attitude with a passion for helping children achieve their potential
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with both children and adults
- Have an understanding of child developments and learning needs
- Have an awareness of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to the welfare of all students
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Enhanced DBS check will be required (or willingness to undergo one)
