We are currently recruiting for Primary Teachers to work on a day-to-day supply basis across a welcoming primary school in Brent.

About the role

As a Supply Primary Teacher, you may be required to cover different year groups across the primary phase depending on the school's daily needs. You will be provided with appropriate planning and resources wherever possible, allowing you to focus on delivering lessons effectively and maintaining continuity for the pupils.

The role requires someone who can adapt quickly to new classrooms, follow school procedures and confidently manage behaviour while keeping pupils engaged.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned lessons across the primary age range.
  • Follow lesson plans and school expectations effectively.
  • Create a positive and purposeful classroom environment.
  • Maintain strong behaviour management and classroom routines.
  • Adapt your approach to meet the needs of different pupils and year groups.
  • Support pupils with their learning and ensure they remain engaged.
  • Provide clear instructions and maintain continuity throughout the school day.
  • Complete any appropriate classroom or safeguarding duties.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
  • Work flexibly across different classes and year groups when required.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Primary Teacher you will:

  • QTS or recognised UK teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching within a UK primary school.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to different year groups and school environments.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Confidence working independently while following school procedures.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • QTS
