We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) at a Primary School in Dagenham. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and make a significant impact on their educational journey.
About the role
As a Teaching Assistant in our ARP, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students with a range of learning needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the delivery of individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Supporting students in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborating with the SENCO and other team members to monitor student progress.
- Helping prepare and adapt learning materials and resources.
- Supervising students during breaks and other activities as needed.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) is preferred
