Smart Teachers are recruiting for an experienced and committed SENCo to join a high-performing secondary school in East London on a permanent basis.
About the role
- Leading and managing the school’s SEND provision
- Identifying, assessing, and supporting students with additional needs
- Overseeing EHCPs and ensuring statutory requirements are met
- Line managing SEND support staff and coordinating interventions
- Working closely with SLT, staff, parents, and external agencies
- Promoting inclusive teaching practices across the school

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SENCO you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for SEN Coordination
- Proven experience in a SEND or inclusion role
- Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Passion for inclusive education and improving outcomes for all students
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Suitable SENCO experience
