Smart Teachers are recruiting for an experienced and committed SENCo to join a high-performing secondary school in East London on a permanent basis.

About the role

• Leading and managing the school’s SEND provision
• Identifying, assessing, and supporting students with additional needs
• Overseeing EHCPs and ensuring statutory requirements are met
• Line managing SEND support staff and coordinating interventions
• Working closely with SLT, staff, parents, and external agencies
• Promoting inclusive teaching practices across the school

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SENCO you will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• National Award for SEN Coordination
• Proven experience in a SEND or inclusion role
• Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Passion for inclusive education and improving outcomes for all students

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Suitable SENCO experience
