IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist – Full-Time, Long-Term
Independent School
Location: Kensington & Chelsea
Hours: School Hours | Term Time Only
This is a varied and hands-on position, ideal for someone who is confident with both technical infrastructure and day-to-day user support. You will be responsible for maintaining the school’s IT systems, including server management and network infrastructure, while also providing responsive support to staff and pupils. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of IT across a small, close-knit school community of approximately 185 pupils.
The school is looking for someone who is equally comfortable handling technical “heavy lifting” as they are providing friendly, approachable support to non-technical users.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers and networks
- Providing first-line and ongoing IT support to staff and pupils
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently
- Supporting classroom technology and digital learning tools
- Ensuring systems are secure, up-to-date, and running smoothly
- Acting as the main point of contact for all IT-related matters

Requirements
To be considered for the role of IT Technician you will:
- Strong technical IT knowledge, including server and network management
- Previous experience in an IT support role (education setting desirable)
- Ability to work independently and manage a broad range of responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Approachable, patient, and solution-focused mindset
