About the role
The school are looking for someone who has experience working in an SLD school.
We are looking for creative, fun, engaging lessons that give children different opportunities .They need to be proactive and able to get to know the children so they can see them as children first and foremost and best meet their needs, encouraging them to be as independent as possible in all their learning. They need to be willing to support the children positively in all situations and to be able to support children with medical needs, sensory needs and challenging behaviour. Many of the pupils are not yet verbal and use a range of communication supports. The successful candidate need to be calm, able to work well in a team and communicate well with adults and children. Our hours are 8.30- 3.45 with a 15 minute morning break and 45 minute lunch break for teachers. There is a teachers’ meeting every Monday until 4.30pm
