Teaching Assistant

Smart Teachers are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant who can support a pupil in Year 4 who has ASD

About the role

• Provide 1:1 support during lessons and other school activities
• Pupil has ASD and is described as being academically engaged but can display challenging behaviour
• Implement and adapt learning activities to meet the student's individual needs
• Role starts in September and will be continuous

About the school

• 2 form entry school in Fulham
• Supportive SENCO who will provide the best environment for both you and the pupil
• School provides additional training and has external professional support for pupils with SEN
• Possibility of a permanent contract after the first academic year

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

• Passion for inclusion
• Ability to remain calm and resilient during challenging situations
• Strong communication skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Have personal or professional experience working with ASD
