Teaching Assistant

Smart Teachers are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant who has experience working with pupils who have ASD.

About the role

• Role is working 1:1 with a pupil in KS1 who has ASD
• Support the pupil with social interactions as well as academically
• Student is described as being academically engaged but will need support accessing the curriculum
• Role is in Islington and will be full time starting in September 2024

• 2 form entry school in Islington rated "Good" by Ofsted
• School is looking for someone who has experience with ASD
• Having good curriculum knowledge is also important for the school
• School has excellent transport links

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

• Have an enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Have experience working with ASD or SEN
