We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism and associated needs across a specialist secondary setting. You will help deliver tailored learning, support behaviour and emotional regulation, and contribute to pupil progress.
About the role
You will support learning 1:1, in groups, and across the classroom, working closely with teachers to deliver adapted activities. The role includes supporting EHCP targets, promoting positive behaviour, and helping pupils engage in a structured and supportive learning environment.

The school supports young people aged 11–16 with autism and associated social, emotional, communication and sensory needs. It provides a structured, supportive environment with a focus on personalised learning, high staff support, and a collaborative, nurturing approach.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assitant - SEND Secondary School you will:
- Experience in education or SEND desirable
- GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C or equivalent)
- Strong behaviour and communication skills
- Understanding of safeguarding
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Experience working in SEND schools / provisions
