We are recruiting for a Trainee Cover Supervisor to work across a range of secondary schools in Bromley. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on classroom experience, particularly those considering a future career in teaching.
About the role
As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Supporting students with their learning and maintaining a positive environment
- Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
Full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this role ideal for those with limited classroom experience.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Trainee Cover Supervisor - Bromley you will:

- Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- Previous experience working with young people desirable (e.g. tutoring, coaching, youth work, mentoring)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
